Stevie Nicks announced her version of the Barbie , created by Mattel, at a show in Madison Square Garden last Sunday, the 1st.
The doll is inspired by the look adopted by the singer on Fleetwood Mac 's Rumours . She even wears a platform boot and holds a tambourine. A pre-sale of the Barbie took place on Monday, the 2nd, costing US$55 and sold out quickly.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nicks said: “My Stevie Nicks Barbie has been with me for a few months now. When Mattel came to me asking if I would like a Barbie from the Rumours , I was thrilled.”
“When I look at her, I can see myself at 27 again. All the memories, of walking onto a big stage in that black dress and those beautiful boots, come flooding back, and I can see myself in her face,” he added.
At a concert, the singer chose a fan named Sara to receive a Barbie doll. She then sang the song of the same name from her 1979 album, Tusk

Stevie Nicks isn't the first rock star to have a Barbie doll. Other artists, such as David Bowie with his Space Oddity , Tina Turner , and even the black metal Barbies have had their own versions.
