Matt Heafy , vocalist of Trivium , has been confirmed as the composer of the soundtrack for the film Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon , the sequel to 2015's Deathgasm

The film blends horror and comedy. Director Jason Lei Howden said [ via Blabbermouth ]: “Matt is not only a metal expert, but also a true horror enthusiast. His ability to capture the diverse needs of the film and bring it to life through the soundtrack is something I believe will surprise audiences.”

Heafy also spoke about his involvement: “I’ve wanted to do the score for Deathgasm ever since I saw the first film. I’m a huge fan of all of Jason’s work. I truly believe I can execute his exact vision of the music for this film.”

“I can already hear the soundtrack in my head. I know we’ll need a wide variety of metal styles, as well as some orchestral/industrial soundtrack pieces and much more. It’s going to be amazing!” he concluded.

The soundtrack is planned for release as a double vinyl set, the first featuring songs by other artists, while the second will consist solely of Heafy's tracks.

A fundraising campaign to make the film is underway.
