Matt Heafy of Trivium appears at a Megadeth show and sings "Tornado of Souls".

The special appearance took place last Tuesday at a festival in France.

Matt Heafy joined Megadeth to sing "Tornado of Souls." The Trivium made a special appearance last Tuesday, the 8th, at a show during the Orange Metallic in France.

The two bands are great friends. Between 2021 and 2022, Trivium was the opening act for Megadeth's The Metal Tour Of The Year , and Matt Heafy heaped praise on Dave Mustaine : "He's still flawless. There's nobody on the planet like him" (via Blabbermouth ).

Heafy had been an avowed Megadeth fan for some time. In a 2020 interview, he revealed that they were one of the first metal bands he ever listened to.

“Megadeth was one of the first metal bands I liked. Countdown To Extinction was my first album of theirs, and then came Rust In Peace . They were along with Metallica , Pantera , Slayer – the first bands to show me what metal was,” he says.
