Matt Heafy of Trivium and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park are some of the most active artists on the streaming right now: Twitch . And now, their paths, or rather, their channels, will cross for an unprecedented collaboration.

The artists shared on social media that Shinoda will help produce a song by Heafy, and fans can follow this process live on Friday the 5th, from 3pm-5pm (Brasilia time) on Mike's Twitch channel.

“I got Matt’s blessing to let loose with the track as well. We’re not just going to do a metal track,” Shinoda shared about the collaboration. “We’re not going to do a Trivium track. If you wanted a Trivium track, you could have a Trivium track. You could go to Matt’s channel and have that. So, I’m going to take his vocals, and even his guitar, and cut them into tiny little pieces and put them in a meat grinder, and then we’ll make a track out of it. I don’t even know what we’re going to do.”

“The track he sent is so… it’s, like, EPIC! It’s like Matt standing on top of a mountain with a falcon on his wrist that flies around collecting the bones of enemy clans, enemy warriors,” he describes.

Matt, for his part, loved his colleague's analogy about the song, and says, "I can't wait to hear you conjure! GO CRAZY!"
