This Saturday, the 17th, Matanza Ritual will perform at Espaço Leste with special guest Pavilhão 9 .
Matanza Ritual, a group led by vocalist Jimmy London, features a team of national metal stars such as Felipe Andreoli ( Angra ), Antônio Araújo ( Korzus ), and Amílcar Christofáro ( Torture Squad ). Together, they have already toured Brazil from north to south throughout the year, in highly acclaimed performances.
The first part of the tour took place in March, April, and May of 2022, while the second part is still ongoing, produced by Top Link Music , owned by businessman Paulo Baron .
Regarding the band, vocalist Jimmy London emphasizes: “Ritual was born because the need to purge our demons never dies. Each show is an exorcism of the crap we go through every day, and we use art to vomit out all the bad things and leave sweaty, happy, and tired.”
He further adds: “Our idea is not to form a band, nor even a project. We want to create a celebration, to relive that “insane ritual” that happened at Matanza shows, and for that we've called upon the best of the best musicians in the country to be the monks of all this madness,” he says.
