The Matanza Ritual Fest , taking place on March 28th at Audio in São Paulo, is already a fixture on the Brazilian festival calendar. This one will have a special flavor, as it will be the launch show for their debut album, A Vingança é Meu Motor (Revenge is My Engine) , which arrives on streaming platforms this Friday, the 21st, via the Deck .
The album, named after one of the tracks, bears the band's trademark: a heavy and visceral sound, blending thrash metal, hardcore, and country, coupled with lyrics full of irony, social criticism, and reflections on human chaos. It will feature 13 tracks in total, including the previously released singles "O Paciente Secreto" and "Assim Vamos Todos Morrer".
In addition to some new songs, Matanza Ritual will play classics such as “Clube dos Canalhas”, “Eu Não Gosto de Ninguém” and “Sua Assinatura”. Matanza Ritual is formed by a team of national rock stars: vocalist Jimmy London , bassist Felipe Andreoli (Angra), guitarist Antônio Araújo and drummer Amílcar Christofáro (Torture Squad). The setlist will feature a deluge of Matanza classics, and of course, the acclaimed Matanza Ritual singles, “Morte Súbita”, “Sujeito Amargo” and “Rei Morto”.

Over more than four decades, Ratos de Porão released 13 albums and several EPs and splits. The legendary band's latest works are Necropolítica (2022) and the EP Isentön Paunokü (2023). Since 1981, the group has undergone some lineup changes and today consists of João Gordo on vocals, Juninho on bass, Boka on drums, and Jão on guitar.
Pavilhão 9 is a rock/rap group formed in São Paulo in 1990, known for their political and protest lyrics. They have released seven studio albums and have an undeniable history within Brazilian heavy music. Opening the night will be Allen Key, formed in 2018, who have shared the stage with big names such as Tarja Turunen (Finland), Marko Hietala (Finland), Primal Fear (Germany), Apocalyptica (Finland), Roland Grapow (Germany), among others.
