Guitarist speaks in interview
Mastodon frontman Bill Kelliher has stated that the band will begin recording their new album in the coming months. In an interview, the musician says that Mastodon already has 11 songs composed.
“I personally wrote about 11 songs in my own studio, by myself. And after we get back from the European tour, we're going to try to put everything in everyone's hands and make a Mastodon album.” Mastodon finishes its European tour today with a show in Athens.
He continues: “Our plan is to start recording in October, November, so very early. We have to keep it fresh. If you write something and leave it for too long, otherwise you record it right away… It’s not as fresh as it was before, you have to record quickly to get the best possible result.”
