Members portrayed savages
The members of Mastodon participated in the Game of Thrones episode that aired last Sunday, May 31st. Members Brann Dailor, Bill Kelliher, and Brent Hinds played wildlings.
The band was invited to participate by the series producer Dan Weiss and other members of the team, who are avowed fans of Mastodon.
Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor commented on the experience: “It was an incredible experience to be part of our favorite show, “Game of Thrones,” and to play wildlings who are murdered and come back to life was wonderful. I watched my best friends Brent and Bill get murdered in front of me while I was stabbed in the stomach and had my throat cut multiple times, and I didn’t care at all. It made me love being part of Mastodon even more.”
