The launch should take place before January 14th

The American band Mastodon has revealed that they will be releasing a new track soon, their first since Emperor of Sand (2017).

The news was revealed by guitarist Bill Kelliher in an interview with Kerrang!. The musician also revealed that the track is "brutal and heavy," and drummer Brann Dailor added that "it's been a long time since I've heard Mastodon sound this heavy."

The group confessed their desire to release the song before starting their European tour, which is scheduled for January 14th, and according to the magazine, they returned to the studio in December to work on the new material.
