The band works with Brendan O'Brien
Mastodon has announced they are working with Brendan O'Brien on their next album, which is currently being recorded. O'Brien previously worked with the band on the album "Crack the Skye" and has also collaborated with bands such as AC/DC, Killswitch Engage, and Korn.
Mastodon's new album is being recorded in Atlanta. The band's leader and bassist, Troy Sanders, commented on the project: “We’re excited because we’ve toured a lot in the last few years. It’s very refreshing to be back in the cycle of writing, recording, touring (…) We’re thrilled because we haven’t recorded an album in two years. Positive energy is flowing here.”
Mastodon's last album, "Once More 'Round The Sun," was released in 2014. Their next album is expected to be released in early 2017.
