Marty Friedman transforms David Bowie into heavy metal; listen to “Station to Station”

This version was recorded in honor of Bowie's 75th birthday

Marty Friedman , former guitarist of Megadeth , helped transform David Bowie into a heavy metal song.

A team of musicians was invited by the Two Minutes to Late Night to create a new version of the song, originally released by Camaleão do Rock on the album of the same name, released in 1976.

With a video filmed (guess where?) in subway stations, Friedman opens the song with a distorted riff. Several musicians paid tribute to Bowie, who would have turned 75 this January, with outfits inspired by the musician's characters, from Jareth in the film Labyrinth to his alter ego Thin White Duke.
