Marky Ramone , iconic former drummer of the Ramones , was honored by the Curitiba City Council last Tuesday, April 1st.

According to the website XV Curitiba , the initiative was proposed by councilman Tico Kuzma (PSD), "highlighting the musician's constant connection with the capital of Paraná and his frequent presence in the city, which once again welcomes him during his international tour."

The website also described Marky as "World-renowned for his career as the drummer for the legendary band Ramones, Marky maintains a special relationship with Curitiba, a city he visits regularly and for which he has shown great appreciation over the years.". 

The tribute took place hours before Marky took the stage at Tork'n Roll with the Blitzkrieg 2025 tour, which revisits immortal punk classics. The drummer continues with his band to Brasília (April 3rd), Belo Horizonte (April 4th), São Paulo (April 5th) and Suzano (April 6th). Tickets can be purchased on the Clube do Ingresso website .
