Alter Bridge 's next studio album is already in the making! Mark Tremonti , guitarist and vocalist of the band, confirmed that he has started writing songs for the successor to Walk The Sky (2019).
While Myles Kennedy is touring with his second solo album, Mark is promoting Marching In Time , the fifth album from his Tremonti , which will be released this Friday, the 24th, and will begin a tour with the album in September.
In an interview with Sonic Perspectives , the musician explained his plans to balance all the projects he's involved in with Kennedy's schedule, who is still the vocalist with Slash and the Conspirators and is scheduled to tour with that band in 2022 before returning to the stage with Alter Bridge, according to the schedule presented by Tremonti.
“Now I can focus on the songs for Alter Bridge. I’m just starting and on my first page of ideas,” he said. “I think Myles and I will get together in January to brainstorm and discuss what we’ve written so far, hoping to get into the studio in 2022. After that, I’ll go back on tour with Tremonti and he’ll tour with one of his bands, then we’ll prepare for a tour with Alter Bridge in the winter of 2022.”
