Mark Tremonti has finally revealed the mysterious project that will surprise all fans ! The guitarist and vocalist of the bands Alter Bridge and Tremonti will release an album of Frank Sinatra .
Accompanied by the remaining members of Sinatra's own orchestra, the musician has already released his first single with a stunning version of "I've Got You Under My Skin," exploring a completely different vocal technique.
The album is a charitable initiative in partnership with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) , an American organization that supports people with Down syndrome, and all proceeds from album sales will be donated to the organization.
Tremonti's inspiration for starting the "Take a Chance For Charity" campaign comes from his daughter Stella, who has Down syndrome. "I decided to make this album to raise funds for families and individuals with Down syndrome. This project is the beginning of a new purpose I will have for the rest of my life," he said (via Ultimate Guitar ).
Titled Tremonti Sings Sinatra , the album of covers will be released on May 27th. Listen to the first single below.
