Mark Tremonti , guitarist and vocalist for Alter Bridge and the solo project Tremonti Tremonti Sings Sinatra this Friday, the 27th, featuring songs by Frank Sinatra.
The surprising project was recorded with remaining members of Sinatra's own orchestra, and all proceeds from album sales will go to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), an American organization that supports people with Down syndrome.
In announcing the project, Tremonti spoke about the unexpected change of musical direction to do charity work. “I never thought I had the possibility of reaching this point. It’s something completely different, it feels like I’m entering the studio for the first time,” he continued. “I couldn’t be further from my comfort zone, I’m intimidated and excited.”
