Lamb of God's Mark Morton announced his solo album, Anesthetic , and released a single featuring the vocalist from Arch Enemy.
Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton will release his solo album Anesthetic on March 1st via WPP Records and Spinefarm Records. The first single, “The Truth is Dead,” features vocals by Randy Blythe of Lamb of God and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy .
Anesthetic was made with a dream team of musicians from different styles. Some friends and other unexpected guests.
Morton has been writing the album for years. “This album didn’t come about because I wanted to start something outside of Lamb of God,” he explained. “The music is always in my mind, until I write and record it, it just stays there. When I record it, it comes out. It’s cathartic, more for my own sanity.”
Among the vocalists on the album is Chester Bennington ( Linkin Park ) with the first posthumous song. Jacoby Shaddix ( Papa Roach ), Myles Kennedy ( Slash, Alter Bridge ) and Josh Todd ( Buckcherry ) are also on the list. In addition to the already mentioned Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy).
Musically, the album features guitars by Roy Mayorga ( Stone Sour ), David Ellefson ( Megadeth ), and Ray Luzier ( Korn ). In addition, Paolo Gregoletto and Alex Bent ( Trivium ), Mike Inez ( Alice In Chains ), and Jean-Paul Gaster ( Clutch ) also contribute.
