The musician will record “God's Gonna Cut You Down”
Marilyn Manson will be part of the soundtrack for the movie 24 Hours to Live , which tells the story of an assassin who gets a chance at redemption when he comes back to life after being killed during a job.
"God's Gonna Cut You Down" was the song chosen to be part of the new Brian Smrz film ( Die Hard 4.0 and X-Men: Days of Future Past) .
The musician previously performed a cover of this track at a show in Moscow, Russia earlier this year.
Johnny Cash's song is actually a cover. "God's Gonna Cut You Down" is a traditional folk song of unknown origin, with versions by Odetta, Elvis Presley, and Moby, but Cash's is the most famous.
24 Hours to Live does not yet have a release date, but its soundtrack will be released on December 8th.
