The accusation was made in May of this year.
In May of this year, an anonymous accusation of sexual harassment was made against Marilyn Manson , and this week it was officially withdrawn.
The case was opened after someone alleged they were sexually assaulted by the singer in 2011. Details of the accusations were never made public, and according to a statement from Manson's lawyer, Howard E. King, the Los Angeles County District Attorney will investigate any allegations of sexual abuse.
He also revealed that he was not surprised that the prosecutor rejected the accusations. "The allegations made to the police were and are categorically denied by Brian Warner [Manson's real name] and are completely delusional or part of a calculated attempt to generate publicity for the accuser's business of selling Manson's memorabilia," he said.
While the case against Manson was dropped, other artists and professionals in the field are being investigated for various cases of sexual abuse, such as producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Steven Seagal.
