Marilyn Manson added a scene alongside John Malkovich to his resume. He appeared in an episode of the new HBO series, 'The New Pope'.
In his cameo, Manson confuses the Popes and suggests that Malkovich's character visit his predecessor, who is in a coma.
"The New Pope" is in its first season, but it's a continuation of another series, "The Young Pope," which aired in 2016. Jude Law reprises his role as Pope Pius XIII, while Malkovich plays Pope John Paul III.
Manson meeting the Pope is curious, given his history of conflicts with the Church and religions in general.
