Marilyn Manson filed a lawsuit to dismiss the lawsuit filed against him by actress Esmé Bianco , claiming it was unfounded.
In February, Bianco was one of several women who reported instances of physical and psychological abuse inflicted by Manson. The first accusation of this type came from actress Evan Rachel Wood , the musician's former girlfriend.
In April , Esmé filed a lawsuit against Manson accusing him of rape and human trafficking, stating that she was sexually abused while unconscious.
According to Billboard , the singer says that the accusations made by Bianco are false and that the case should be dismissed before even going to trial. He also says that the lawsuit arose after the statute of limitations had expired, meaning the crimes would have "expired" and are therefore no longer valid. He said the delay must have occurred due to the actress's "planning and storytelling," which are "distorted accounts of reality."
In the lawsuit, Marilyn Manson also states that the other accusations made by several women against him are part of a "coordinated attack" in which they are "seeking to monetize and exploit the #MeToo ," asserting that the relationships in question were all "consensual."
Bianco's lawsuit is one of four cases against Manson, the most recent being that of actress Ashley Morgan Smithline , who accuses the singer of raping her, holding her captive, and human trafficking.
Recently, as we reported here , the musician turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on charges of assault stemming from when he spat on a camerawoman in 2019. The singer was released the same day after posting his own bail.
