Marilyn Manson has been accused by several women of physical, emotional, and sexual violence committed during relationships with the victims after Evan Rachel Wood named the musician as an abuser . Following the horrific accusations, one of the vocalist's first girlfriends before he became famous spoke out about the case.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail , Rachelle gave her own version of their relationship, with significant differences from the singer's "poetic license" account in his autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell.

The couple met in 1987, when Manson was just Brian Warner , a young blond journalism student still living with his parents. Rachelle described her ex-boyfriend as "shy, quiet and immature," but denies any abuse at that time, despite the increasing possessiveness and jealousy that resulted in the end of the relationship.

“'He was wonderful. He was very kind to me, loving, very caring. There was nothing that seemed scary or uncomfortable to me,' Rachelle said. 'He was very insecure and had a lot of jealousy and immaturity. [After a while], his behavior changed, Brian became jealous (...). He was possessive. But he was never mean.'"

When Brian went so far as to call Rachelle's ex-boyfriend to accuse her of cheating, the young woman ended their two-year relationship. “I went to his house and told him it was over. He begged me not to leave, (…) I felt like a horrible person,” she recalled. In the book, the singer claims he discovered she was engaged and pregnant by another man.

With the recent accusations, Rachelle wonders if she bears any responsibility for turning her ex-boyfriend into a "monster" after the breakup. "I can't say it's all my fault, but my friends say I broke him and he became a different person. I can understand people changing because of sadness or pain. But he may have always been like this," she said.

In his autobiography, written alongside Neil Strauss, Manson says he decided to "shut himself off emotionally from the world and not trust anyone" after the breakup. "It was partly out of anger and revenge that I wanted to become famous and make her regret leaving me," he wrote.

The allegations against Manson have already involved authorities. Actress Bianca Allaine has given a statement to the FBI about the case, and last week, Esmé Bianco , known for her role as Ros in Game of Thrones , filed a lawsuit against the musician for rape and assault.
