Marilyn Manson released his eleventh album WE ARE CHAOS , today, the 11th, following Heaven Upside Down from 2017.
The album was produced by Shooter Jennings and features influences from 70s glam rock and 80s new wave, citing artists such as Love and Rockets , T. Rex , Echo & The Bunnymen , Joy Division David Bowie 's Berlin era , evident in his latest single "Don't Chase The Dead ," released yesterday, the 10th, as inspiration for the project's tracks.
WE ARE CHAOS has a side A, corresponding to the album title, and a side B, named Infinite Darkness , a concept that originated from the artwork on the album cover, as explained in an interview with Revolver .
Reviews and critiques published so far regarding the release have been very positive, earning 5/5 stars in NME , which considered the release Manson's best since his 2000 album Hollywood , and so far receiving a green rating (the most positive) on Metacritic , which aggregates reviews from journalists and fans.
