Phoebe Bridgers reveals that Marilyn Manson told her he had a "rape room."

The artist, a rising star in indie rock in 2020, shared the sinister episode

Phoebe Bridgers , a 26-year-old singer nominated for a 2021 Grammy and considered one of the biggest names in current indie rock, revealed yesterday, the 4th, on her Twitter account a traumatic episode with Marilyn Manson , until then the artist's idol.

“I went to Marilyn Manson’s house when I was a teenager with some friends,” she writes. “I was a huge fan. He referred to a room in his house as the ‘rape room.’ I thought it was just his awful college boy humor. I stopped being a fan. I stand with everyone who has spoken out.

“The record label knew, the managers knew, the band knew. To distance themselves now, pretending to be shocked and astonished is fucking pathetic,” Bridgers concludes.

The singer's revelation comes a day after fashion designer Love Bailey Manson's life, claiming he threatened her when she was just 20 years old.
