Phoebe Bridgers , a 26-year-old singer nominated for a 2021 Grammy and considered one of the biggest names in current indie rock, revealed yesterday, the 4th, on her Twitter account a traumatic episode with Marilyn Manson , until then the artist's idol.
“I went to Marilyn Manson’s house when I was a teenager with some friends,” she writes. “I was a huge fan. He referred to a room in his house as the ‘rape room.’ I thought it was just his awful college boy humor. I stopped being a fan. I stand with everyone who has spoken out. ”
“The record label knew, the managers knew, the band knew. To distance themselves now, pretending to be shocked and astonished is fucking pathetic,” Bridgers concludes.
The singer's revelation comes a day after fashion designer Love Bailey Manson's life, claiming he threatened her when she was just 20 years old.
