A new and important update in the legal battle between Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood occurred last Tuesday, the 9th.

Manson recently filed a lawsuit against his ex-fiancée, alleging that she fabricated stories of abuse and encouraged other women to lie and falsely accuse the singer of the same crimes.

Last Tuesday, the 9th, Judge Teresa A. Baudet dismissed two parts of the lawsuit drafted by Marilyn Manson's lawyers. One alleged that Evan Rachel Wood had forged a letter written by the FBI to coerce other women into testifying against Manson. The other alleged that she had used a "checklist" for the same purpose. The claims were dismissed due to lack of evidence and the improbability of a conviction.

Evan Rachel Wood's attorney said in a statement: “We are very pleased with the Court’s decision, which affirms and protects Evan’s exercise of her fundamental First Amendment rights. As the Court correctly concluded, the Plaintiff failed to show that his claims against her have any merit whatsoever.”

Marilyn Manson's lawyer, Howard King , commented: “The decision is disappointing, but not unexpected. The Court telegraphed this outcome when it refused to consider the bombshell sworn statement from former plaintiff Ashley Smithline , which detailed how women were systematically pressured by Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore into making false allegations about Brian Warner [Marilyn Manson's registered name].”

In his statement, King refers to model Ashley Smithline. Ashley withdrew all charges against Marilyn Manson , which included rape, human trafficking, false imprisonment, and incitement to suicide. She faced a dismissal of her initial lawsuit and changed her testimony shortly afterward, claiming to have “succumbed to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and associates to make rape and abuse allegations against Mr. Warner that are not true.”

Smithline's new testimony supports the version offered by Brian Warner's lawyers, alleging that all accusations against the singer are part of a conspiracy led by Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore.
