A two-part documentary about the life and career of Evan Rachel Wood has been in the works for the past two years and will premiere its first act at the Sundance Film Festival .

Phoenix Rising is directed by Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg and will closely follow Evan Rachel Wood's journey up to the moment she first named Marilyn Manson as her abuser

Since reports of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse by the actress came to light, several other women have also felt encouraged to denounce Marilyn Manson for the same abuses, such as actress Esmé Bianco from Game of Thrones . The singer is currently facing a series of lawsuits .

The documentary Phoenix Rising will premiere on HBO sometime in the coming months, likely after the Sundance Film Festival, but a specific date has not yet been set.
