Marilyn Manson 's lawyer has denied Evan Rachel Wood 's accusations that the musician raped her on camera during the filming of the "Heart-Shaped Glasses" video.
In the first part of her documentary Phoenix Rising , shown at the Sundance Film Festival , the actress recounts that her then-boyfriend, Brian Warner , filmed a real sex scene without her consent. "We had talked about a simulated sex scene, but when the cameras were turned on, he started penetrating me for real. I hadn't agreed to that," she says.
In a statement , lawyer Howard King responded on behalf of Marilyn Manson, saying that the accusations are "false" and "the easiest to refute" among all those the actress has made to date.
“Of all the false accusations Evan Rachel Wood has made about Brian Warner, her imaginative retelling of the 'Heart-Shaped Glasses' recordings from 15 years ago is the most blatant and easily refuted because there were multiple witnesses,” the lawyer wrote. “Evan was not only completely consistent and engaged during the three days of filming, but she was also deeply involved in the weeks of pre-production planning and the days of post-production and editing of the final version. The simulated sex scene took several hours to film with multiple cuts using different angles and several long pauses between camera adjustments.”
This is the latest in a series of accusations made by Evan Rachel Wood since the actress named Brian Warner as her abuser and gave a full account of the physical, sexual, and psychological abuse she suffered at the hands of the singer. In December, Rachel Wood alleged that Warner threatened to sexually assault her 8-year-old son .
