Scorpions . After a seven-month hiatus, the band performed at the 25th edition of the Vive Latino in Mexico City.
Mikkey Dee 's first performance after being diagnosed with sepsis , a serious blood infection, which kept him hospitalized for three weeks.
Marcus , Mikkey's son, filled in for his father on some of the 16 songs in the setlist. The drummer used social media to show his pride in his son, posting a video of the performance of "Blackout" and commenting:
“Thank you, Mexico City! Last night was great! It was amazing to be back behind the drums after the crap I went through at the beginning of the year. Last night, my son Marcus showed up and played some music so I could rest my almost-healed foot. He did an incredible job and it was so much fun for both of us to share a moment like that together. Next up is South America, then Europe all summer and Vegas in August. I can’t wait to enjoy the rest of the year. Once again, thank you Mexico. See you here again soon!”
Scorpions at Monsters Of Rock
One of the biggest names in the history of world rock returns to Brazil for three performances. The band will perform at the 30th anniversary edition of Monsters of Rock in São Paulo. The event takes place on April 19th at Allianz Parque . Tickets are available on the Eventim .
Scorpions will also be playing on April 16th at Arena Mané Garrincha in Brasília and on April 21st at Qualistage in Rio de Janeiro .
