With nearly three decades of existence, Claustrofobia has seven albums in its discography. In an interview with Wikimetal , vocalist and guitarist Marcus D'Angelo spoke about the care the band has taken with the experience, with caution in the messages and energy of the lyrics.

Speaking about the lyrics of Unleeched , the band's new album, created during the uncertainty and frustrations of the pandemic, the musician explained: “We tried to be very careful about what we were going to say, so as not to bring unnecessary energy, we've done that a lot before. We've made a lot of mistakes, you know?” he admitted. “We've said a lot of unnecessary things in the past and it comes back to haunt you, you know?”

In Marcus's view, it's not about concern with cancel culture, but an "evolutionary" issue for the band. "There are people who admire the band and follow them, all kinds of people, from children to older people. So it was very natural, we debated the lyrics," he continued.

Reflecting on past regrets about speaking on topics with little knowledge or without anticipating the potential consequences: “Words and feelings have power, and the energy you put out there also has power. I remember there was a time when there were huge brawls at shows, we'd say 'Let's break everything,' and fights would break out at every show, and that's not what it's all about.”.
