Marcus D'Angelo, from Claustrofobia, celebrates 1990s metal in new project.

Bleeding 90s is a new project created alongside Mauricio Weimar of Extreme Drums

Brazilian musicians Marcus D'Angelo , from Claustrofobia , and Mauricio Weimar , from Extreme Drums , recently launched a new project called Bleeding 90s, in which they celebrate 1990s metal.

The project was created to celebrate the passion for the fierce metal of that decade, as clearly shown in the first cover released from the endeavor. The duo chose "Blood Brothers" by the powerful Malevolent Creation , a death metal band from the United States.

In addition to covers of 1990s thrash and metal songs, Bleeding 90s announced that they are also working on original music. "We've been doing everything without pressure or pretension, solely for the personal satisfaction of making music, and we're going to put genuine elements into it to blow the minds of those who love the style as much as we do," comments Marcus D'Angelo.

“I’ve always wanted to do a project with an ‘elite’ metal vocalist, and Marcus is one of the most impressive in that category. I’d never had any contact with him until I decided to send him a message asking if he was interested in doing a project with me. He replied right away, and we discovered an incredible musical connection,” Mauricio said about the collaboration.
