Rapper Marcelo D2 , known for his work with Planet Hemp and his solo career, praised Fernanda Lira in a Story posted last Monday, the 17th.
On his Instagram profile, D2 recommended the Kazagastão , hosted by Gastão Moreira , and mentioned the bassist and vocalist of Crypta , former leader of the thrash metal band Nervosa . "By the way, I started listening to thrash metal again because of the conversation with Fernanda Lira," he wrote.
With strong rock influences in Planet Hemp, Marcelo D2 also brought his taste for metal to his solo career. "I'm in a really hardcore and metal phase, you know what I mean?", he stated to the website Vírgula in 2015, regarding his cover of "Polícia" by Titãs , recorded for the album Rock In Rio Box Brasil 30 Anos .
On her personal page, Fernanda Lira expressed surprise at being mentioned to the rapper's more than 1.6 million followers. “I need to share something with you all because I’m positively shocked by how my week started. I went to meditate (…) and then I opened my Instagram. And there was a notification that Marcelo D2 had tagged me in his Story,” the musician began, as transcribed by Wikimetal . “What? Marcelo D2 started listening to thrash metal again because of me, how does he even know about my humble metal existence on planet Earth? I’m shocked. I always thought he was amazing, especially after those 'Out with Bolsonaro' tweets, I became an even bigger fan.”
