Marc Rizzo has returned to Ill Niño two months after leaving Soulfly . The news was announced by the guitarist himself and the band.
Rizzo is one of the original members of the band, which started two decades ago. Alongside Ill Niño, the guitarist released the self-titled EP in 2000 and the albums Revolution Revolución (2001), Confession (2003) and a greatest hits compilation.
The guitarist had been a member of Soulfly since 2008, leaving for "personal reasons . Max Cavalera commented on his departure: "He didn't leave the band. We decided to part ways for personal reasons. I wish Marc all the best in his career. I want to thank Marc for his 18 years with Soulfly."
In an interview with Aftershocks TV , Marc Rizzo said he wasn't happy in Max Cavalera's band and had come to the conclusion that being in Soulfly "wasn't worth" his time anymore.
