On the evening of last Friday, the 31st, Marc Rizzo , former guitarist of Soulfly , performed in the city of Harmony, Maine, and did a cover of the classic "Territory" by Sepultura .

Rizzo left Soulfly in August and spent weeks exchanging barbs with Max Cavalera in the press. While the guitarist claimed "emotional breakdown" and lack of financial support during the pandemic, Cavalera claimed the accusations were his colleague's crazy mind."

The Ex-Man podcast , Marc Rizzo spoke further about his decision to leave Soulfly and reiterated that he was giving his best in the studio and on stage while the rest of the band was falling short – a fact that, according to him, is pointed out by the fans.

“I wanted to leave five or six years ago. That’s when things, in my opinion, started going downhill,” says the guitarist. “I think I should have left, but I felt bad. I felt I owed some loyalty to everyone and didn’t want to let them down.”

According to Rizzo, the pandemic period "opened" his eyes to many things and he finds himself in "a better place" now.
