Maranhão Open Air festival , which was scheduled to take place this month, has been cancelled. The official announcement came via a post by the event's production company.
Maranhão Open Air festival regret to inform you that the festival has been cancelled. We emphasize that the production team did everything possible to maintain the festival despite the low advance ticket sales. Measures such as reducing the number of bands and restructuring everything into a single day were not enough to allow this edition to continue."
The production company, which had already canceled two days of the original event , provided information regarding refunds for fans who purchased tickets:
"It's worth clarifying that all ticket money will be refunded. We request a 30-day period before the refund process begins, as due to the high investment made so far, immediate refunds will not be possible."
