Following the cancellation of the band Satan's show at Maranhão Open Air , further cancellations have been announced.

Azul Limão , I Am Morbid , and Vazio also cancelled their respective appearances at the festival for different reasons.

Azul Limão posted on their social media:

“Due to contractual conditions that could not be met by the MOA – Maranhão Open Air , Azul Limão was unable to participate in the Festival. Out of respect for our fans, we are making this announcement now that our participation has become impossible. Up to this point, every effort has been made to make the band's participation possible, but without success. We wish a great show to everyone involved in this event: the participating bands, the production team, and the audience. We know that organizing a festival of this size is not simple and adverse factors can arise. There will be other opportunities for Azul Limão to return to the Northeast.”

I Am Morbid had their tour canceled due to Hurricane Nicole, which struck the state of Florida in the United States, where the band was scheduled to depart from.

The band Vazio, in turn, posted on social media:

"As many of you know, we, Vazio, were announced as one of the acts for the November 12th Maranhão Open Air ; however, we are very sorry to publicly announce that we will NOT be performing at the event."

It turns out that even knowing the negative history of the event's organization, we chose to give credence to the organizers' apparent commitment, a fact that did not materialize.

As of the time of this publication, we have not received the airline tickets, which makes it impossible for us to honor this commitment.

O Vazio is a band that works within the realms of extreme music, the result of serious work by its living and deceased members, and involves a necrosophical egregore of devotion to powerful ancestors.

To our fans, we reaffirm our promise to deliver our ritual of death and rebirth in the northern and northeastern regions of Brazil in 2023. To the false and fallen, we wish sickness and death.”
