A Reddit user created a map Spotify data showing the most listened-to metal band in each country in 2024. They provide a snapshot of which groups have been captivating users of the most popular music platform at the moment.
In one of the comments, the map's creator explains where the idea for it came from. "I was looking for a list of the most listened-to metal bands in each country and there wasn't one. So I did the work myself and created this map."
Following the comments, the platform's classification of bands was discussed. For example, in Denmark, if Volbeat isn't considered metal, then King Diamond would be on the list. In Germany, some argue that Rammstein isn't metal, which would put Electric Callboy in first place. He also points out that he may have made a mistake due to not being familiar with some of the bands on the list.
Paulo Xisto appears twice on the map of most listened-to metal bands.
Regarding the Latin American part of the map, one Brazilian stands out. Paulo Xisto, who currently plays bass in the band Sepultura , has also been part of the most listened-to band in Venezuela, Cultura Tres , since 2019. Therefore, he is the only musician to appear twice on the aforementioned map.
Xisto has a busy schedule this year. In addition to Sepultura's farewell tour, which is touring the world, the band Cultura Tres has a performance scheduled for April 26th at Summer Breeze Brasil .
