After Behemoth was confirmed as the post-show act for Dream Festival, now it's time for the opening bands to be announced. The apocalyptic German black metal duo Mantar and the renowned Brazilian group Genocídio have just been confirmed as special guests.
Hailing from the frigid north of Germany, Mantar has carved out and conquered important spaces in the European and North American music scene in a short time. The product of a 20-year friendship between Hanno Klaenhardt (guitarist/vocalist) and Erinc Sakarya (drummer) , their success story is born entirely from hard work, three intense albums, and tireless touring, including high-energy, raw, and aggressive performances at festivals such as Wacken Open Air (Germany), Hellfest (France), Download Madrid (Spain), Withfull Force (Germany), Bang Your Head (Germany), Roadburn (Netherlands), and Maryland Deathfest (USA).
With their new album, The Modern Art Of Setting Ablaze , the duo has boosted their live reputation, conquering not only Europe and the USA, but also Russia, Japan, and South Africa. This work features relentless riffs, breathtaking rhythms, and hooks in a caustically blackened, nihilistic atmosphere.
Genocídio will take the opportunity to perform the first show of their Till '96 , whose setlist includes songs from the band's first four albums: Genocidio (1988), Depression (1990), Hoctaedrom (1993), and Posthumous (1996).
