Måneskin and Tom Morello , from Rage Against The Machine , performed “Gossip” last Thursday, the 26th, on the American TV show The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon . The single is part of the promotion for their recently released album Rush! (2023).
Vocalist Damiano David had already commented in a statement about the guitarist's participation on the track: “Tom Morello's vast experience allowed us to receive tips on how to work on tracks without overthinking. We can't thank him enough for his participation in this song. It's an honor for the whole band!”
Tom said: “When I heard there was a rock and roll band from Italy that was exploding all over the world, I thought, ‘Really? Let’s go for it.’ Then when I saw them play live, I was blown away. They are unapologetically loud, unapologetically sexy, and unapologetically rock, and they deserve to be one of the standard-bearers of rock and roll for a younger generation” (via NME ).
“Gossip” also recently got a music video in which the band members play and party inside a glass box.
In addition to the TV performance, Måneskin gave an interview to Fallon. In an excerpt published online , the group not only revealed plans for a world tour of the new album but also a request from Mick Jagger to open for the Rolling Stones .
