Måneskin releases music video for “SUPERMODEL” based on 90s movies.

The production has elements of Quentin Tarantino films.

On Tuesday, the 31st, Måneskin released the music video for their latest single, “SUPERMODEL”. The song is a critique of celebrity worship and the obsession with status that the band encountered in people during their time in Los Angeles.

The music video, however, is a tribute to 90s cinema, directed by Ben Chappell ( Arctic Monkeys , Nine Inch Nails ) and Bedroom Projects ( The 1975 ), described by NME as " part Tarantino and part Hitchcock ".

“We wanted to pay homage to our favorite 90s movies with the 'Supermodel' video,” Måneskin said in a statement. “We tried to capture a cinematic vibe around an enigmatic character in the track and wanted the visuals to reflect that.”

“After developing the idea, we worked closely with the directors and Ben to recreate sequences and screen captures from our favorite 90s movies. We had a lot of fun filming in London, staging funny scenes that reminded us of a B-movie detective film.”
