After winning Eurovision 2021 , considered the biggest music festival in the world, the Italian hard rock band Måneskin exploded on social media and conquered the charts around the world with their eccentricity and defiant attitude.
After their cover of The Four Seasons , the band has now released a version of one of their biggest hits, "I Wanna Be Your Slave," featuring Iggy Pop . The lyrics and structure of the song remain the same, with Iggy alternating vocals with lead singer Damiano David .
The members of Måneskin expressed their delight with the collaboration, stating in a press release that it was "an honor" to know that Iggy Pop liked their music and wanted to work with the band. "It was thrilling to see him singing 'I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE' live in front of us. It was very powerful to see such a great artist be so open and friendly," they wrote.
“We all grew up listening to his music and he inspired us to start a band, so it’s still unbelievable to us that we had the chance to work together and make music together,” they added. Check out the result of the collaboration:
