Måneskin “doesn’t give a damn” about what the future holds: “We’re enjoying ourselves.”

Lead singer Damiano David spoke a little about the band's current mindset.

Måneskin has been a huge phenomenon in the music industry since their Eurovision 2021 , but the four Italian rockers already had a promising career ahead of them before their sudden fame.

Their rapid rise in the charts and popularity on social media have propelled the band to unusual heights for a relatively new name, but the members don't seem surprised or even dazzled by such success.

In an excerpt from an interview with Kerrang!, vocalist Damiano David reflected on Måneskin's success and surprised listeners by saying that the band isn't worried about the future at the moment.

“We always thought we could really get there,” Damiano comments. “Everything that’s happening now makes us very happy and proud, but we’re also not surprised by it because we worked very hard to get here. We deserve this and we know how to maintain it and we know what we want to do. But we also know that it’s not something that happens every day.”

“We know this is our train and we were smart enough and lucky enough to jump on it, but since we’re here, we want to relax and enjoy the ride without thinking about where we’re going. Because we don’t give a damn. We’re having fun and things only get better,” he concludes.

Highlight at Rock In Rio

On September 8th, Måneskin made their Brazilian debut at none other than Rock In Rio . The Italians performed in a prime time slot on the Palco Mundo stage, as the second biggest act of the night, delivering plenty of hard rock and energy.

The following day, it was the band's turn to perform in São Paulo, to a noisy and welcoming audience, providing what the vocalist described as a "special and unforgettable" night for the European band. We at Wikimetal were there and wrote a full review of the performance. Check it out.
