That's right, you read it correctly: you have a metal-loving uncle who passed away and you want to pay him tribute? This guy took that desire to another level (and volume).

A man known as Prince Midnight decided to build a guitar from the skeleton of his deceased uncle, Filip . In Greece, where the musician is from, cremation is frowned upon by the country's Orthodox Christian Church. Therefore, his uncle Filip, who died 20 years ago in a car accident, requested that his remains be donated to a local university for study.

However, after so much time, the college stated that it no longer needed Filip's remains, and the family refused to cremate the body… with that, Midnight's idea emerged. He filled out extensive paperwork so that his uncle's bones would be sent to his home in the United States, instead of going to the cemetery.

He then attached a guitar neck, pickups, volume knobs, a jack, strings, and electronics to Filip's torso bones to make a perfectly functioning electric guitar.

Midnight spoke to MetalSucks about the creation, stating, “I got the box of bones from Greece and didn’t know what to do with them at first. Bury them? Cremate them? Put them in the attic? They all seemed like bad ways to honor someone who got me into heavy metal.”

“So, I decided to turn Uncle Filip into a guitar, which proved to be a challenge,” he continues. “I did a lot of research and nobody had ever made a guitar out of a skeleton. So, I did it. I started by consulting two guys at the Dean Guitars woodworking shop in Tampa, but they were wary.”
