Last Monday, the 2nd, Malvada announced the departure of bassist Marina Langer .
The announcement came via social media and was accompanied by a message from the remaining band members, who wished Marina "all the best" and thanked her for the almost 4 years of collaboration. According to a statement sent to the press, the decision to leave Malvada was made by the bassist herself for "personal reasons".
This Wednesday, the 4th, the band announced that its new member is bassist Rafaela Reoli , from the band Black Velvet . Rafaela's influences include names like Geddy Lee , Steve Harris , Billy Sheehan , and Patricia Morrison , and she will make her debut with Malvada next Saturday, the 7th, at Come Together Bar, in São Roque.
According to a post on Malvada's social media, the band is "preparing the ground for an incredible new project" that should be revealed soon.
With the addition of Rafaela Reoli, the current lineup of Malvada consists of Indira Castillo (vocals), Bruna Tsuruda (guitar), and Juliana Salgado (drums).
