This Tuesday, the 5th, the Brasília-based band Lupa releases “Pressa” in collaboration with The Mönic . The track is the first single from Lupa's upcoming studio album, the successor to Sucesso a Qualquer Custo (2023), and you can check it out first on Wikimetal .

Between the heaviness of the guitars and the lightness of those who dream with their eyes open, "Pressa" is a rock song made for those who feel too much, love intensely, and refuse to fit into any place other than their own path. The music delves deep into the urgency of those who need to break through the city's limits, the voices that disbelieve, the advice that calls for calm when the heart yearns to fly.

The collaboration was born where roads met: Lupa and The Mönic met in São Paulo during their tours and, since then, have followed each other with great admiration. Vocalist Dani Buarque (The Mönic) traveled from São Paulo to Brasília, where she spent two intense days with the band. Amidst laughter, ideas, and recordings, the vocals for the track were captured in the studio of producer Ricardo Ponte , a Latin Grammy winner. The “collective outburst” became a music video, filmed in the bathroom of a bar on the outskirts of Brasília. Raw and vibrant energy from those who believe in what is being born.

“Ever since I first heard Lupa, I thought it was awesome, and after getting to know the band better, I realized that the chaotic energy that surrounds us is the same. We always wanted to make music with them, and when the invitation came, and I heard the song, it was just a matter of saying LET'S GO. I really identified with the lyrics,” comments Dani Buarque.

“You take the two bands that most like to jump into the crowd in Brazil and this is born. It's an anthem for the youth who are discovering themselves. A great chorus to shout, talking about identity and freedom. 'Pressa' turned out to be a banger and we're dying to tour Brazil shouting it with the fans,” adds Múcio Botelho , vocalist of the band Lupa.
