What's the most unusual way to name a child? The practice of giving children the names of celebrities is nothing new. A quick search will reveal a number of Michael Jacksons and Elvis Presleys scattered around. But what about children who have been named after bands?

According to Louder , a New Zealand filmmaker named David Farrier discovered that a metal-loving mother had registered her three children with the names Metallica , Slayer , and Pantera . As if the unusual choice of first names wasn't enough, the middle name of baby Metallica, born in 2009, is none other than And Justice For All , referencing the band's iconic fourth album.

David then checked the information and confirmed its accuracy with the person in charge of registrations, Jeff Montgomery , who argued that there are no specific restrictions on registering children with band or album names "as long as the word used is not considered offensive or resembles an official title or position."

And what about the mother of this power trio? According to the journalist, she reportedly told him, "It's not easy raising three of the heaviest bands." The full story can be found in David's paywalled tweet thread.
