At the end of July, the English band (formed by Brazilians) Madre Sun, led by brothers Matt and Eduardo Cavina, released their EP The Speed of Light , bringing with it many good things that span different genres.

Blending elements of metal with southern rock, the band delivers a fast-paced and very well-instrumented EP, characteristics already present in many renowned bands in the scene. At times, we can perceive a certain similarity to the classic sound of Deep Purple , for example.

Both the EP and the speed of the songs themselves were recorded in record time, five untouched days in a studio in Cambridge, England, the country where they all reside. With this material as a foundation, we can already expect a great full-length album from the band, coming in strong to capture the ears of classic fans and even the newest generation, who appreciate the beauty of quality rock music with extremely skilled musicians.

A highlight is the track “Speed of Light,” which encapsulates all the concepts of the EP and showcases Madre Sun's main characteristics: precision and excellent instrumentation. Also noteworthy are the great vocals throughout all the tracks. Listen to The Speed of Light now on all digital platforms.
