Madre Sun released today, the 22nd, the track “Trick Up The Sleeve”, the first single from the band's new EP, The Speed Of Light .
The track, which was recorded in Cambridge, UK, is about the feeling of realizing there's nothing left to lose in life, as guitarist Matt Cavina explains, "The initial idea is about when you reach a certain point in life where it no longer matters whether you 'lose' or 'win'."
"And from that moment on, you realize you have no more tricks up your sleeve to surprise anyone, and the feeling is just one of 'rolling the dice in the game of life' and moving on," Cavina adds.
The band, formed by Matt and Eduardo Cavina , Flipi Stipp , and Tyson Schenker , hopes that the interpretation of their first single will resonate with each fan.
