Madre Sun released today, the 25th, the music video for the track "Black River," featured on the EP The Speed Of Light, released in July of this year.
The video was made in collaboration with the fans , listening, dancing, singing, in short, having fun to the sound of "Black River," a song made in homage to the city of Rio Preto, where brothers Matt and Eduardo Cavina were born. According to the band, the idea for the video was a way to thank them for the warm reception of the band's EP.
“The inspiration for the video was to thank everyone who supported us throughout the year. We wanted friends, fans, and family to send us a video of themselves having fun to the sound of 'Black River',” explains guitarist Tyson Schenker . “ Ardo Cotones did another excellent job compiling these videos and capturing exactly the feeling we asked for.”
Tyson, son of Michael Schenker , guitarist for Scorpions/UFO , shares an interesting fact about the music video that directly relates to his musical roots. “The guitar I’m playing in the video is the first one I ever owned. It’s a miniature version of the one my dad plays, which I got as a kid. It’s never been used for anything before, so I’m really happy that it’s featured in the video.”
