Machine Head has released the new single “UNHALLØWED”, along with a live video of the song. The track is part of their tenth studio album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN , which will be released on August 26th by Nuclear Blast/Imperium Recordings.
ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN will have 13 tracks with a futuristic concept, according to the band itself. The story that guides the album is based on two characters, Ares and Eros, who are grieving and go on a revenge adventure.
Robb Flynn , vocalist of Machine Head, said that the story was partially inspired by an anime called Attack On Titan . “Thanks to my two boys, my family is obsessed with this Japanese anime called Attack On Titan ,” he said. “The album is partially inspired by the series in terms of the story; there’s no ‘bad’ or ‘good’ boy, both characters believe they’re doing the right thing, but both are doing something horrible.”
