The band announced it on their official website

Machine Head announced their new bassist, Jared MacEachern, yesterday on their official website. The band had been searching for a new musician since February, when bassist and founding member Adam Duce was dismissed.

Machine Head bassist leaves the band

MacEarchern is a former member of the band Sanctity and will be participating in Machine Head's American tour. The band also announced that the bassist will be entering the studio with Machine Head at the end of the year to work on a new album.

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn said the band auditioned several bass players who sent in videos as tests. “Besides being able to play bass and nail all the vocal harmonies, he has a great personality and made us feel like a band again. It was a great feeling and we all knew this was the guy.”

The new bassist also spoke out: “I’m ready to work! This tour is going to be amazing and the new songs are incredibly heavy. I’m really looking forward to making music with these guys!”
