The album marks the group's tenth studio album, and Robb Flynn explained the concept behind it

Machine Head released their tenth studio album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN It came with a music video for the track “NØ GØDS, NØ MASTERS”, which you can watch at the end of this article.

According to a press release, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN “ tells the story of two characters, both facing immeasurable trauma, whose stories intertwine in a bloody way as this deep and dark record unfolds.”

Speaking about the album, vocalist Robb Flynn commented: “The album concept was loosely inspired by the Japanese anime Attack On Titan in the sense that, in that series, there isn’t a good guy and a bad guy. Both sides believe they are doing the right thing, but both are committing atrocities and evil deeds.”
